What is the meaning of pins, wins, and losses?

I needed no further justification. I was now the photographer-witness, safely and objectively documenting my sons' pins, wins, and losses. It saved me a section of stomach lining and led to some interesting observations.

I am not convinced that this would be easy to identify out of context if you were not familiar with wrestling to begin with. – KitFox Dec 8 '11 at 17:26
@Kitḫ I do agree it is not obvious if one does not know the context is wrestling, but from what I guessed after searching might be the original source, it seemed clear that this is a parent writing about wrestling. Searching "pins, wins, losses" also brings up high school wrestling sites. I didn't think an answer would be more than "these are wrestling terms; read more on Wikipedia," so I felt it might be general reference. – aedia λ Dec 8 '11 at 18:13
It might also be a bowling phrase, if you google "pins wins and losses" the first few hits are bowling-related. – Mr. Shiny and New 安宇 Dec 8 '11 at 18:14

This question is too basic; it can be definitively and permanently answered by a single link to a standard internet reference source designed specifically to find that type of information. See the FAQ for guidance on how to improve it.
