I need a one-word synonym for the word "dataset". I need it for a software written in .NET, that is a programming framework that already has a concept of "DataSet".

What about InfoSet? –  onomatomaniak Oct 10 '11 at 9:33

So it's similar to a .Net Dataset, but you've created it? How about "AlessandroDataset"? –  Paul Spangle Oct 10 '11 at 11:21

This too localized. –  Mitch Oct 10 '11 at 12:14

I agree with Mitch that this is too localized. I need more information to suggest a good name and that makes the question even more localized. –  jimreed Oct 10 '11 at 13:09

This question doesn't make sense to me. Since OP says .NET already has a concept of dataset, I assume Microsoft refer to it using that word. If OP's concept of dataset corresponds to Microsoft's, why can't he just use the same word? If it doesn't, what does it mean to ask for a "synonym"? –  FumbleFingers Oct 10 '11 at 13:49
