Can anybody provide a single verb that means to declare God free from all evil and imperfection?

Do you mean to declare God free from evil or to declare something free from evil? And do you really want a verb? I can think of adjectives for free from all evil and imperfection, but no verb which means declaring God to be so. – Daniel δ Sep 16 '11 at 20:18
to declare God free from those things - looking at some adjectives may also be interesting but I'm really looking for a single verb - thanks. – nicholas ainsworth Sep 16 '11 at 20:49
Maybe "sanctified?" – Thursagen Sep 16 '11 at 20:57
Strange that this question has been closed - there are 2 single verbs that can be used in Arabic with this meaning and I am surprised that English may not have one. – nicholas ainsworth Sep 17 '11 at 2:52
Arabic has much more use for such a construction than English because of the blatantly obvious cultural factors. – jprete Sep 17 '11 at 17:25
