I wouldn't use "everybody" in a mortuary. –  Kramii Sep 7 '10 at 14:06

It depends on whom you are addressing.

  • Hi everyone = Hi to each one of you

  • Hi everybody = Hi to all of you at once

I still think "Hi everyone" means the group as one. –  Picturepocket Sep 6 '10 at 7:47

Either one would work.
