I came across this slogan and it just rubs me the wrong way. Is it just me?

It's just you. No one else expects advertisers to speak good English. They just want you to remember the ad. I guess it worked on you! – GEdgar Mar 20 at 21:11

Panda, questions are expected to show considerable evidence of research and be of interest to language experts (professionals and enthusiastic amateurs). However you might be interested in our new proposal designed specifically for those who want to learn the English language: English Language Learners (ell.stackexchange.com). On EL&U this kind of questions are considered at best too basic and this might explain the reason why you have already got one downvote (not mine), but on ELL they are welcome. Please, take a look now or, at any rate, be aware that that proposal exists. Thank you. – Carlo_R. Mar 20 at 21:11

Probably 'Plumb loco' wouldn't work so well. – Edwin Ashworth Mar 20 at 21:51

Equally true: Yes, it is grammatically incorrect. Advertisers do not mind such mistakes; often, they welcome them. The reasons for this are complex and off-topic here. – TimLymington Mar 20 at 23:13
